The Melodic Rock Magazine
Kaleidoscope Records

Hello People,

Welcome to my website, Rock The Net! If you’re a defender of the faith – in other words a heavy metal fan – you are more than welcome to enter...
Here, you can find out about my latest book ventures as well as information on the magazines and fanzines I write for. I will regularly update and improve the site and if anything interesting happens or is going to happen soon, I’ll update my diary. You can also check out the Playlist page to see what I’m listening to each month. Everything I have ever written that has been published is in My Writings and Archives. If you wanna find out what I’m doing next, just check out Current Projects.
And if you’re really bored you can find out more about me on the, er, About Me page.
On the Links page you’ll see loads of links to some really cool sites, which I visit quite often. Finally, I’d like to mention that I have conducted interviews - exclusive to this site - with a number of writers which you can read on the Interviews page. This is part of my ongoing personal project; I hope to build up an archive of interviews with noted authors in the hope of learning more about writing books and pop culture in general.
I hope you like it. And remember people: rock hard and ride free!

Message from the webmaster:

Ok people, I know its been a while since the last round of updates but I think you will agree that they are well worth the wait! Despite that, you all deserve an apology and explanation for how long it has taken to get this stuff online. As some of you may already know I am a university student and every now and again us students actually have to do things like complete coursework and sit exams, which is what I have been doing. I am currently in my final year and the workload has been a little overwhelming, so I apologise to you all for the delay and thank Neil for his patience and understanding while I have completed my work.

Enjoy the updates and buy a copy of Rock 'N' Roll Mercenaries, its awesome!

LES PAUL RIP (1915-2009)

There’s very little I can add to the huge response there’s been to the death of the legendary guitar maker and player Les Paul. From a personal perspective I first heard the name ‘Les Paul’ when I started listening to Cream and early Clapton when I was around 17-18 years old. Just think of all those great guitarists who have played on one of his guitars: Keith Richards, Buddy Guy, Billy Gibbons, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Joe Perry. Already, Slash, Steve Lukather, Eddie Van Halen and Ace Frehley have paid their respects. There’ll never again be such an innovative guitarist and inventor as Les Paul. He was truly a unique guy.

If you’re a Led Zep fan you should really own a copy of Dave Lewis’ new book – ‘Then As It Was: Led Zeppelin At Knebworth 1979 (30 Years Gone)’. Go Here.

The first reviews of Dawn Of The Metal Gods are starting to surface. Check out some quotes Here.
