Linkin Park
An Operator's Manual

By Neil Daniels.
Publisher: Chrome Dreams. Publication Date: 2nd October 2009
Linkin Park - An Operator's Manual Front Cover

Without doubt the most popular American rock band of the 21st century, Linkin Park have grossly superseded the ambitions, talents and durability of their original 'Nu-Metal' contemporaries to become a first rate rock band. Split into five sections, this guide begins with a lengthy group biography, followed by a section covering the band's music, videos, tours, films and DVDs. A hugely illuminating and visually stunning study of a truly modern rock act. It’s more than a handy reference book; it’s an encyclopaedia covering the band’s entire history in fine detail.

What The Critics Said:

Go To: Online; Magazines; Other

NB: Around 80 review copies of ‘Linkin Park – An Operator’s Manual’ were posted yet hardly any publications – printed or online – reviewed this book. I wonder if Linkin Park have lost most of their rock fanbase over the past couple of years? Or maybe Linkin Park fans are just not interested in reading a book on the band, anyway?

Magazine Reviews

“It’s quite remarkable to me that despite his heavy workload with countless publications, author Neil Daniels still finds time to regularly put out books on a wide variety of rock-related subjects… ‘Linkin Park – An Operator’s Guide’ is an attractive looking book with black and white photos on every page, and whilst the style of it could easily have resulted in a shallow overview bogged down by clinical statistics, it actually goes much deeper than that.”

Phil Ashcroft – Fireworks

"A novel and well executed approach to music writing, this book could carry the title 'Linkin Park: A Geek's Guide' and is all the more wonderful for it."

Mark Hoaksey - Powerplay
